For new clinics from 2027

The EHR that connects your eye clinic

Good eye care is teamwork. aēyes is the electronic health record (EHR) that brings scheduling, measurements, treatment and aftercare together in one system. So every colleague can carry on from what the previous one recorded.

We develop aēyes together with ophthalmologists, from Utrecht, and it already runs in daily practice at July. New eye clinics are expected to start in 2027. The practice scan shows you in three minutes what a move would take for your clinic.

Record and scheduling in one system

An appointment, an examination and a treatment belong to the same care pathway. aēyes keeps the information and the scheduling together, so the team builds on each other’s work.

Scheduling

Appointments follow the availability of staff, rooms and devices. The planner and the front desk work from the same roster.

Record

Measurements, findings and treatment decisions live in one record, per eye, available to the clinicians involved.

Follow-up

Treatment proposal, consent, surgery and check-ups sit in one overview. The team sees what is done and what still needs attention.

Developed for eye care in the Netherlands

aēyes is built for independent eye clinics, independent treatment centres with ophthalmology and ophthalmic practices. We follow their daily work: many measurements, several clinicians and a treatment pathway that continues outside the consulting room.

One record for the whole team

The front desk checks the patient in, the ophthalmic technician prepares the examination and the ophthalmologist reviews the findings. The next colleague carries on from what is already recorded.

Measurements per eye

Right eye, left eye and both eyes have a fixed place in the record. Devices connect over DICOM and HL7. Per make and model we assess which data the device delivers.

Data in the Netherlands, access per clinic

Hosted in the Netherlands, national ID encrypted, every access logged and export via FHIR, CSV and PDF. We go through the certification status and the processing agreements with you.

Frequently asked questions

What is aēyes?

aēyes is an electronic health record (EHR) and practice platform for ophthalmology. Diary, measurements per eye, treatment proposal, consent, surgery and aftercare sit in one system, so clinicians and support staff work from the same information.

Is aēyes an EHR or an EMR?

Both names are used for the same thing: the electronic record of a practice. aēyes holds that record and also runs the organisation around it, such as scheduling and the follow-up of treatments. That is why we call it a practice platform.

Which practices is aēyes for?

Independent eye clinics, independent treatment centres with ophthalmology and ophthalmic practices, from a single site to an organisation with several locations. Not for large hospitals or hospital-wide tenders.

When can we start?

aēyes already runs in daily practice at July. New clinics are expected to start in 2027, a limited number at a time. The start date depends on the setup, the data migration and the integrations you need. The waiting list is where you register your interest.

Does aēyes connect to our measurement devices?

Yes, over DICOM and HL7. We already work with the Pentacam, the MS-39 and Zeiss FORUM, among others. What a device delivers differs per make, model and software version. For devices without a standard interface we are developing an adapter that reads the output, for the technician to check. We go through your device list with you beforehand.

What does the practice scan give me?

You answer ten questions about your clinic, treatments, devices and way of working. You then get a first overview of the points that need attention and the integrations you need. The scan takes about three minutes. You can see the outcome without leaving contact details.
